Over 100 Event Bookers Met, 80+ Little Black Books Distributed and No Motion Sickness – ITA* Hits The BNC Event Show

Recently we attended our first ever summer BNC Event Show, in the amazing setting of the HMS President. The BNC Europe’s biggest networking club for events managers provides the perfect platform to meet and greet the movers and shakers in the events world. Having attended (and loved!) their spring show, we lucky members of the ITA* team couldn’t wait to see how the summer exhibition compared!

Manning our stand in the ballroom, we were on hand for the stream of event bookers who came to visit us to hear all the ways ITA* can make their job easier, to discover our wealth of amazing venues and to find out about our excellent catering partners.

Our Special Events Executive Laura Pearce has only been with us a short time, but she’s already made a big impression! We were so proud to see her host her own very successful seminar on booking a Christmas party – a great education for those visitors to the show who’ve not had a chance to read our [link]Christmas Party Guide[/link].

Laura gave away some of her party secrets and led a game of Christmas heads or tails, with a reindeer experience at ZSL London Zoo for the winner. Everyone went away with an early Christmas present of goodies including our bespoke Christmas pudding cupcakes.

Back at the office, Laura can’t stop talking about the show! “I had a fantastic day at the BNC”, she says. “With it being my first time experience it was so great to meet so many new faces and to hear that everyone’s plans for the festive season are well and truly underway! I thoroughly enjoyed educating our event professionals at our Christmas Party Guide seminar, which was a real cracker! If there is one thing (other than the yummy Christmas pudding cupcake) that I hope everyone took away from the seminar, it’s that planning your Christmas party should be a fun and enjoyable experience, so if you haven’t read our party guide just yet, download a copy [link]here[/link] and let us take the stress away. Remember it’s only 162 days until Christmas, so happy planning!”

William Smith, our Business Development Executive, was there too, and equally as bowled over by his experience: “BNC was like Christmas Eve – I was so excited I could hardly eat all day! We met a range of fantastic clients and developed relationships with friendly faces we know well. All attendees were senior buy clonazepam 1mg level decision makers so you knew each conversation would be golden time!”

When we had a break in footfall to the stand, we took the opportunity to investigate the river setting, aboard the world-renowned HMS President. With this being the hottest day of the year, the terrace area proved the place to be. Of course, this being an event show, there was plenty of amazing food to sample, and we were well fuelled for our very busy day of bonding! We loved the eggs Florentine, luscious Korean lamb cutlets with nashi pear and the scrumptious lemon drizzle cake.

With the sun shining and spirits high, we were all in a very generous mood! We had bottles of champagne for anyone who booked a site visit with us, and we’ll be giving away an afternoon tea for two at gorgeous Kensington Palace to the first booker to confirm an event after having met us at the show. We also donated an amazing prize to the grand BNC draw – a black cab tour of our venues, followed by champagne and canapés. Just a few ways to spread the ITA* love!

We had such a productive time, and now all that’s left to so is hand over to our Sales Director Kate McIntosh, to share her closing thoughts on this fantastic event…

“Still buzzing from a super day at the BNC Show. The heat didn’t stop those serious event bookers from enjoying the hospitality and event expertise across the boat yesterday! It was such a productive (and fun!) day for all the team, I was delighted that our very own Laura Pearce lead the Christmas seminar for all those novice festive bookers, where she offered solid advice and best practice tips that can often be overlooked. Our Little Black Books went down a treat (these are the ultimate pocket size venue bible for the event booker!), and engagement on social media was positive.

When comparing to the February show this year, we found that the quality of booker prevailed over quantity and were delighted to secure some great contacts and live enquiries. The team were able to really engage with the bookers yesterday and spend a decent amount of time with each. Looking forward to seeing the conversion and hopefully long standing relationships growing from here!”

Many thanks to Ian Legge Photography for the images from the day.
