Conceived as a ‘house of delight’ for James I’s queen, this former royal residence is set against the leafy backdrop of Greenwich Park. The beauty of The Great hall, with its original marble floor, provides a spectacular location for up to 120 people to dine or in theatre style for presentations. The Orangery and South Parlours offer a beautiful location for drinks receptions or daytime meetings. Celebrations can be continued into the night with dancing and entertaining in the cavernous Undercroft.

Weddings at Queen’s House

The Queen’s House, a royal retreat was designed as a place of pleasure and celebration. Its romance is reflected in its symmetrical architecture- one side for the King and the other the Queen. Designed by the pioneering architect Inigo Jones, the Queen’s House is Britain’s first and finest classical building. Part of what makes the House so special is its adaptability. Whether your style is highly contemporary, traditional romance or baroque, the iconic geometric interiors are suited to each. Vows can be exchanged in the beautiful great hall with its soaring gold leaf ceiling and original marble floors. The beautiful views create a stunning backdrop for wedding photography.


Christmas at Queen’s House

Host your holiday in royal style! Located in the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage site at Greenwich and a former royal palace, the Queen’s House is an elegant venue for festive entertaining. Built in the 17th century by Inigo Jones for Queen Anne, wife of James I for hosting sumptuous parties it was the first wholly Classical building of its kind in England and is regarded as one of the most important buildings in the history of British architecture. The Great Hall features the original black and white marble flooring and commanding views over the Thames. Wow your guests with the houses gilded opulence and then dance the night away in the under croft.

    The Great Hall features the original black and white marble flooring and commands views over the Thames and the Old Royal Naval College. It is a popular location for weddings, but it is also ideal for corporate dinners. There are wonderful locations for photography at the Great Hall including the Tulip Staircase and suspended balcony.

    For daytime meetings or away day events, the Orangery and South Parlours located at the back of the Queen’s House, provide a peaceful atmosphere for your delegates. With views over the Greenwich Royal Park and a separate catering area, meetings are easily conducted in this historic house. The surrounding outdoor lawns are also available for team-building activities or a barbeque lunch as well as the Orangery. The Orangery and South Parlours are also ideal for small wedding ceremonies and receptions.
