    The Edward Lumley Hall is the largest and most flexible of the College's conference rooms. Its oak panelling and charming proportions make it the ideal venue for a formal banquet or evening drinks reception. As an exhibition hall it provides over 400 square metres of unobstructed floor space.

The Council Room adjoins the Edward Lumley room, creating an ideal space for a breakout room. After dark the chamber really comes into its own, as a unique banqueting and reception venue.

    There are three committee rooms within the Royal College of Surgeons, and with their flexible layouts they are ideally suited to smaller events such as meetings and training courses. A folding wood panelled wall between rooms One and Two can be withdrawn to create one large space for more substantial functions. A range of audio-visual equipment is available for temporary installation in any of the rooms.

  • Hunterian Museum

    The Hunterian Museum will be an once-in-a-lifetime experience for your guests. Housing the collection of John Hunter (1728–1793), a surgeon regarded as one of the most distinguished scientists of his day, the ‘crystal gallery’ of 3,000 glass jars showcases. His fascinating assortment of original anatomical preparations, fossils and skeletons. This is available for private hire after 6.00pm.

    The galleried room of the original surgeon’s library is the only part of the building to have survived the London bombings in 1941. This provides an intimate space for a variety of events, including private dinners and drinks reception.
