The HAC is the London home of the Honourable Artillery Company, a charity incorporated by Henry VIII in 1537 whose primary charitable purpose is the support of the Regiment which bears its name. The Regiment are based in Finsbury Barracks which is part of the London estate and is leased by the Company to the MOD.

The HAC Estate consists of Armoury House, an 18th Century mansion, the Prince Consort Room which is a stylish, modern juxtaposition to Armoury House and the stunning five acre Artillery Garden. These areas combine to create an exceptional and extremely versatile London venue, ideal for conferences, parties, lunches, dinners, sporting events and weddings.

Armoury House has a number of unique spaces for all types of ceremonies. The Long Room is an elegant, historic setting, perfect for wedding celebrations. This richly decorated, oak-panelled room features a minstrel’s gallery, stone fireplaces and large picture windows framing breath-taking views of the Artillery Garden.

Smaller rooms such as the Queen’s Room and Ante Room are licensed for wedding and civil ceremonies and are ideal for celebrations of a more intimate nature.

In addition, The HAC is framed by the stunning five acre Artillery Garden. Perfect for a champagne reception on the lawn or simply for the fabulous views it affords from inside the House, it is a unique feature that sets The HAC apart and will help to create a memorable wedding.

The HAC offers a striking backdrop for your next Christmas party, with the party taking place in the magnificent 18th Century Georgian house set in a stunning five-acre garden or in the modern stylish Prince Consort Rooms – whichever style you prefer, The HAC is the ideal location for your Christmas party in the heart of the city.

At The HAC we offer exclusive parties only with reception drinks served in the our Medal and Court Rooms, and dinner served in the Long Room and this year you will be transported back in time to the glitzy and glamorous roaring 1920’s.

Prince Consort Room

The Prince Consort Rooms is The HAC’s largest and most versatile space. The stunning room boasts a dedicated entrance via a pretty courtyard, an adjoining outdoor Terrace and a separate registration area. The space itself has an impressive vaulted ceiling, painted brick walls and wooden flooring.

Long Room

This elegant, oak panelled room is steeped in the rich history of the HAC. Huge picture windows allow fantastic views of the Artillery Garden and out to the City of London beyond. With candles lit, soft lighting and musicians playing from the minstrels’ gallery above, it is a hugely atmospheric setting for all types of event, whether it be an evening dinner and dance, a cocktail reception or a party. During the week the Long Room is only available for evening events as we run a restaurant for our members and corporate diners at lunchtimes. At weekends when it is available all day the lovely setting ensures it is in high demand as an exceptional City wedding venue.

The Artillery Garden

At just over five acres, the green lawns of the Artillery Garden make it a stunning oasis amidst the City’s buildings.
In the summer months from mid-April to mid-September cricket is played on the Artillery Garden. It is home to the HAC cricket club however the pitch is also available to hire during these months. In the winter season the grounds are used for rugby and football. In addition to these sporting fixtures, the Artillery Garden can also be hired for team building events, inflatable fun days, barbecues, soft ball or simply for a summer drinks reception.

Ante Room

The Ante Room, on the ground floor, is an extremely attractive, light and airy meeting room with enormous windows which look out onto the Artillery Garden. It is often used in conjunction with the Queen’s Room opposite, with one meeting room being used for a reception or for refreshment breaks and the other being used for the main meeting, lunch or dinner.

Medal Room

As the name would suggest, this room is lined with many of the medals awarded to members of the HAC over the years. Most have been donated to the Company either by the soldiers themselves or their proud families.

Court Room

The richly decorated Court Room offers a fascinating insight into the history of the HAC and its place in the City of London. Several of the Company’s treasures are on display here, including a C16th suit of tilting armour.

The Court Room is generally hired as a venue for pre-dinner drinks before guests move through to the Long Room.

Queens Room

Located adjacent to the Ante room, the Queen’s room is often is often used in conjunction with the Ante Room, with one meeting room being used for a reception or for refreshment breaks and the other being used for the main meeting, lunch or dinner.

Library & Boardroom

The Library and Boardroom are housed in the Sergeant’s Cottage which was built in 1850. They were completely refurbished to a very high standard as part of the Prince Consort Rooms development in 2007.

These two lovely rooms work extremely well together for a meeting, lunch or dinner for up to 12 guests. The Library has comfortable sofas which makes it the perfect place to relax during breaks or after a meeting in the boardroom, and the Boardroom itself enjoys wonderful views over the Artillery Garden.
